This highly ornamental small tree offers year-round beauty. In early spring, it's blanketed with vibrant rose-purple blossoms. Its rounded, heart-shaped leaves emerge a fresh apple green before maturing to a rich blue-green. By summer, long seed pods develop and ripen to a deep purple-brown. The foliage delivers striking fall color, while the smooth, silvery-gray branches add visual interest to the winter landscape. Deciduous.
